Toddler Program

Big feelings, big discoveries, and the confidence to say “I can.”

About the program

A nurturing start, at your child's pace

A playful and engaging environment where children develop growing independence through movement, communication, creativity, social interaction, and hands-on discovery. Toddlers practise real-life skills (dressing, tidying, choosing) with an educator cheering them on.

Circle time, outdoor play twice a day, lunch, nap and story time give toddlers a rhythm they can count on.

Toddler Program FAQ

Questions parents ask

Still wondering? Ask us anything.

What age is the Toddler Program for?

Our Toddler Program is for children from 18 to 36 months.

How active is a toddler’s day?

Toddlers are offered at least 180 minutes of physical activity daily (music and movement, guided games and free play), plus a minimum of 60 minutes outdoors, weather permitting.

Do toddlers go on outings?

Children 18 months and older may join supervised neighbourhood walks and park visits. Ratios are always maintained, a first aid kit comes along, and families are told the location and return time.

How do you guide behaviour?

With positive, age-appropriate guidance: redirection, modelling, naming feelings, offering choices and problem-solving. MIM never uses punishment, shaming, isolation, or withholding food or rest.
